A Montgomery County homeowner pulled into her driveway near County Line Road and Huntingdon Pike around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, Lower Moreland police said.
She told police she went inside her house and left her gray 2022 Range Rover running with the keys inside, and it was stolen about seven minutes later. She didn't notice it was stolen until around 10:30 p.m., police said.
Neighborhood surveillance video shows the thief arriving in another vehicle before stealing the woman's car, police said. The "poor video quality" didn't allow police to get more information on the suspect or their vehicle, they said.
The Range Rover's tracking device led police to a Sunoco gas station along the NJ Turnpike in East Brunswick around 10:17 p.m., they said.
When New Jersey State Police arrived, the car was gone. They believe the tracking device was removed since they couldn't see where the car traveled to after that stop.
